Vacancy – Chairperson Recruitercode

The role


We are looking for a chairperson who endorses the importance of the Recruitercode and is able to convey this convincingly and inspiringly to peers, media, events, and educational institutions.


Under your chairmanship, we strive for greater visibility of the code, a growing number of active members, and further integration of the code in recruitment processes such as ATSs, job boards, education, and (potentially) legislation.

What are we looking for?


In addition to knowledge of the Recruitercode and demonstrable involvement in the recruitment profession, we are looking for someone who:

1. Drives the movement


The foundation has been laid. Now it is time for the next step: active dissemination and adoption of the code. We are looking for someone who can get people moving—inside and outside the board—to further promote the principles of the code.

2. Shows leadership

  • Takes initiative and drives projects, campaigns, or collaborations.
  • Can formulate and communicate a clear vision of the future of the profession.
  • Provides structure: setting direction, prioritizing, monitoring progress.
  • Encourages and involves the board in a positive and collegial atmosphere.

3. Uses network and visibility


You have a relevant network and know where opportunities lie to make the principles of the code visible. You seize public opportunities or empower others to do so.

4. Is available and plans realistically

  • You can dedicate on average up to half a day per week to this role.
  • You commit for at least three years.
  • You are comfortable working in a volunteer organization: the board consists of peers who dedicate their time and energy voluntarily.

5. Fits the style of the board

  • Positive, connecting, and motivating.
  • Focus on collaboration within a team of volunteers.
  • Public visibility is a means, not a goal. You share this naturally or hand it over to fellow board members and ambassadors.

This role is unpaid. Like the other board members, you contribute on a voluntary basis. This requires intrinsic motivation, a sense of collaboration, and the ability to contribute with energy to something bigger than yourself.
